Trade-in conditions

Your item must be clean and free from tears, holes or stains.

Your item must not have been altered and must not be missing any buttons or other items.

Your item must contain the label (brand) and the inner composition and care labels.

We do not accept items from the current season.

We do not accept items from collections prior to Spring - Summer 2021.

Socks, cotton scarves, jewellery, swimwear and tote bags are not included.

How does the online trade-in service work?

- In order to be accepted, your product must be in perfect condition - please consult our trade-in conditions.

- Select the items you wish to sell back to us, then follow the online steps to create your account and identify the products you wish to trade in.

- Once the trade-in request has been generated, simply print out the transfer note, sign it, and insert it in your parcel.

- You must send us your items by post using the pre-paid label provided. Return your packaged products to us in the box of your choice.

- As soon as we receive your parcel, our Quality Experts will check the condition of your items. If the trade-in conditions are met, you will be notified by email within 15 days and you will receive your credit to your second-hand account.

- By logging on to the "My credit" section in your Second-Hand customer area, you can generate one or more vouchers, valid for 12 months from the date of issue:

- If several of your items have been accepted, you will be credited with an amount corresponding to the value of all the accepted items.

How will I receive my trade-in money and do I have to wait until my item is sold to receive my credit?

Once your items have been checked and validated by our quality experts, you will receive your money in the form of credit, available in your member area under the "My credit" section.
You will then be able to generate a voucher, which you can redeem via:
- The second-hand site secondhand.soeur.fr
- The new site soeur.fr
- Soeur stores

No need to wait for your item to be sold!

What are the acceptance criteria and do you return items deemed to be in poor condition?

- Your items must be clean, in perfect condition (with all zips, seams and elasticated features in working order) and free from holes, tears, stains, or odours.

- Your items must not have been altered and must not be missing any buttons or embellishments.

- Your items must contain the brand label as well as the inner composition and care labels.

- All products must be legally owned by the person benefiting from the trade-in offer.

We accept items with the following 3 condition ratings:

- New condition: with original label, never worn

- Excellent condition: the item is like new with no signs of wear or defects.

- Very good condition: the item shows only minor traces of wear, imperceptible at 30 cm.

We do not accept any items in any other condition: damaged, worn, no longer usable, stained, with holes, misshapen, dirty, with the internal label cut off, etc.

In accordance with our General Terms and Conditions of Sale, items that do not fulfil these criteria will be refused and will not be returned.

But rest assured: these items will live on, as donations to charities or through upcycling programmes.

Are the sent items reconditioned?

Upon receipt of your items, our experts will authenticate them and check their condition. 

Each item is returned to its saleable condition and re-labelled. It is cleaned and/or ironed using environmentally-friendly processes.
